Hello and welcome!! My name is Melanie B and I am a New Jersey-based Professional Makeup Artist, specializing in glamorous, yet “never overdone” looks for brides tying the knot around the world! My #1 goal is to bring all of your amazing beauty forward, while allowing you to feel like your most beautiful and sultry self, whether it be for your wedding day or a night out with your girls! Aside from beautiful makeup, however, I provide one of a kind elite experiences to brides and beauty clientele alike! You will sit in my chair feeling pampered and relaxed and go on with your day with “Main Character Energy!” Okay?!!

Beauty has always been my first love. I was the little girl who sat at her mother’s vanity and played in her Mary Kay cosmetics and of course had to have the mannequin heads that you could “makeup” and style! When I reached high school I graduated with a degree in Cosmetology and was off to work in a hair salon to start my career right away. I was excited about hair, but still felt something was missing. Eventually I left the field and pursued various positions in the corporate world, but felt even more unfulfilled and empty as I had no creative outlet. A much welcomed layoff finally forced me to stop procrastinating in pursuing a career as a Makeup Artist. I immediately jumped into anything I could to help me grow including makeup schools, interning and hands-on master classes with some of the best in the industry such as Sam Fine. I worked at makeup shows like the annual IBS at the Jacob Javitz in New York City, freelanced for brands like M.A.C. cosmetics and eventually built my own clientele as a full fledged Entrepeneur.

One day a friend referred me to my very first bride. I still remember how nervous and scared I was as I arrived early morning to take care of my bride and her family. It was at that moment I realized the deep joy and emotional satisfaction I gained in not only helping women to feel beautiful and alive, but I loved the journey, from the initial consultation and gushing about her day or plans, to sending her down the aisle to her man! I pour love and paint with love! Each of my brides and beauty clientele teach me something and I grow a bit more after every client experience. 10 years later, I am in love as ever with the craft and with each bride that asks me to be a part of her journey!
